STRENGTHENING TRADITIONAL JUSTICE SYSTEM FOR EFFECTIVE CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION IN AMAC AND BWARI AREA COUNCILS.
Original inhabitants of FCT (OI) need to be supported by building their resilience and capacity to enhance dispute resolution mechanisms and build a strong traditional justice system that works for OI.

It is also important to strengthen the capacity of the original inhabitant women and youth as community actors to raise sexual and gender-based violence awareness in their wards and to act as Anti-GBV mobilizers and report cases of SGBV.

It also aims to strengthen and build the capacity of the ward health development committees of the three area councils using community scorecards as a tool to improve access to quality health care and equity comprehensive health education information dissemination and skills development.

There is also essential to improve the accessibility and quality of health services for the original inhabitants of the FCT and create an enabling environment for them to realize their health rights and also reduce morbidity and mortality rate especially amongst the vulnerable groups- women to child and PWD. The goal of the ward health system is to improve and ensure access to sustainable, quality, acceptable and affordable health services with the full participation of people at the community people level using community scorecards as a tool to achieve the goal of the ward health system.

The project will also focus on strengthening the capacity of traditional rulers in promoting the social justice system and addressing SGBV cases and challenging existing narratives and stereotypes faced by victims of SGBV and providing access to sexual and reproductive health services in three areas councils for OI. This will ensure that original inhabitants of the FCT not only have access to information that they need but also have access to appropriate channels of intervention. Achieving this requires the meaningful engagement of the original inhabitants as a methodology for the impact. Some of these issues also include how reportage of sexual and gender-based crimes are handled by agencies responsible and vulnerabilities of the various stakeholders involved in curbing SGBV
