Abiodun Essiet initiative for girls organizes a one day training for leaders of public institutions on the approach to response to SGBV.
The program had in attendance various leaders/counsellors from public institutions like churches, Mosque, Market women, Traditional rulers Wives association the social and welfare Secretariat in Amac.
Mrs Dorothy Njemanze, our consultant spoke on the various ways SGBV cases should be handled. She further explained to the leaders that cases of SGBV should be taken adequately and victims shouldn't be blamed during interrogation.
Mrs Abiodun Essiet, the Executive Director, explained the VAPP act to the leaders and what they need to know on how best cases should be handled.
The participants lauded our effort in the fight against SGBV and also vowed to utilize the knowledge acquired in the cause of the training.
